AI Summit in Hamburg - The most important learnings from Ailio
Two exciting events recently took place in our second home in Hamburg, which dealt with the exciting field of artificial intelligence (AI). Both the “Hamburg cracks the HHAI SCORE” event and the “KI Summit 2024” brought together an impressive number of experts and interested parties who shared their knowledge and practical experiences with each other.
Morning: Hamburg cracks the HHAI SCORE
The morning was all about generative AI. In interactive fishbowl discussions and practical sessions, participants were able to explore innovative approaches and applications of generative AI. These sessions not only offered valuable insights, but also the opportunity for lively exchanges with experts from renowned companies such as OTTO, iteratec, Deloitte, HHLA and the University of Hamburg.
Particular attention was paid to the practical workshops and the Experts Lounge, where participants were able to put theory directly into practice. This event showed how companies can use generative AI to develop innovative solutions and transform their business models.
Afternoon: KI Summit 2024
After a successful morning, the AI Summit 2024 followed with inspiring keynotes by Robert Kilian from CertifAI and Prof. Dr. Tilo Böhmann from the University of Hamburg. The opening remarks set the tone for the afternoon, which featured in-depth breakout sessions. These sessions offered participants the opportunity to delve deeper into specific topics in AI development, application and understanding.
Aleksander Fegel from Ailio contributed his expertise and reported on his experiences with complex AI projects. He presented an exciting use case with Ingredion Incorporated that showed how Ailio successfully implements complex AI projects. His lecture offered practical insights into the mastery and successful implementation of complex projects.
The keynote speech by Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Senator for Economics and Innovation, emphasized the importance of AI for the innovative power of the economy in Hamburg. She highlighted the excellent work of the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC), which has been making a valuable contribution to the development of the AI landscape in the region for five years.
Final panel discussion
The day ended with a very interesting panel discussion on the topic of “increasing the level of AI maturity” and an optimistic outlook for the coming year. Alois Krtil, one of the organizers, offered a preview of future events, including the next AI Summit, which will highlight next year's developments and challenges.
